Pay-Per-Click Job Advertising

One year after Indeed launched its pay-per-click job advertising network, SimplyHired has announced their version called Job-a-matic.

The idea is quite simple.  There are millions of niche blogs and community sites with, for a lack of a better term, "niche members".  These members have expertise specific to their field or niche.  Therefore it makes sense to advertise relevant jobs to them while they are hanging out at their favorite niche sites.  The site owner, in turn, makes money from ad clicks.  Everybody wins.

SimplyHired and Indeed are (obviously) trying to do to jobs what Google has done to search and advertising.  We find that fascinating.  If they have even a fraction of the success Google has enjoyed, they will make tons of money.  It will be interesting to see how this turns out.  More important, of course, is whether employers will find the talent they are looking for.
